2 tablespoons water
3 tablespoons tomato paste
1/2 lb mushroom , sliced
salt and pepper
1/2 cup red table wine

Instructions

1.Heat the bacon drippings in a large, heavy pot over medium heat

4.Add shredded Cabbage, onions, diced bacon, and more water if needed. Cover and simmer for 1 hour
5.In a separate bowl, mix instant flour and 2 tablespoons of water till smooth, then stir into the pot with tomato paste and mushrooms.
6.Simmer, covered for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.
7.Stir in the wine and simmer for a further 10 minutes.
8.Taste with salt and pepper and serve.
