Ingredients

3/4 cup sour cream , at room temperature
1/3 cup buttermilk
1 large egg , plus
1 large egg yolk
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon almond extract
3 tablespoons unsalted butter or 3 tablespoons margarine , cut into pieces and softened
3 cups bread flour
1/4 cup sugar
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
2 1/2 teaspoons fast rising yeast ( or 1 T. bread machine yeast ) or 2 1/2 teaspoons instant yeast ( or 1 T. bread machine yeast )
1/3 cup golden raisin
1/3 cup diced candied lemon peel ( or lemon confit )
1/4 cup pecan pieces
1 tablespoon unbleached all-purpose flour
3/4 cup sifted powdered sugar
1 teaspoon grated lemon zest
1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
1 - 1 1/2 tablespoon warm milk
1 teaspoon soft butter

Instructions

1.Add the sour cream, buttermilk, egg, egg yolk, vanilla extract, almond extract, and softened butter or margarine into the bread machine pan.
2.Add bread flour, sugar, salt, and yeast into the pan, making sure not to exceed the machine's capacity.
3.Select the dough cycle and start.
4.When the machine beeps, add the golden raisins, diced candied lemon peels, and pecan pieces. Let the machine to finish its cycle.
5.Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
6.Remove the dough from the bread machine and shape it into a boule shape. Place it in a greased 8-inch cast-iron skillet. Cover the pan with a damp towel and place it in a warm area to rise for 30 minutes.
7.Sprinkle unbleached all-purpose flour over the bread, then make a 1/2 inch deep cross shape on the top. Place the skillet in the preheated oven and bake for 40 minutes or until a skewer inserted into the bread comes out clean.
8.To make the glaze, mix together the powdered sugar, lemon zest, lemon juice and milk, until it reaches a spreadable consistency. Spread the glaze over the bread while it's still warm and top it with butter.
