Ingredients

1 large head cabbage
2 lbs ground pork
1 cup uncooked rice
1 onion
3 tablespoons paprika
salt
1 can tomato juice
1 can sauerkraut
Hungarian Pigs in Blanket, also known as Toltott Kaposzta, is a classic Eastern European dish that consists of cabbage leaves stuffed with a flavorful mixture of ground pork, rice, and spices. Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 350°F.
2.Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and add the cabbage head. Boil for about 10 minutes or until the outer leaves are soft but not too mushy.
3.Remove the outer leaves and set aside.
4.In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, rice, finely chopped onion, paprika and salt.
5.Mix thoroughly until everything is well combined.
6.Take a cabbage leaf and place a scoop of the pork mixture in the center.
7.Fold the sides of the cabbage leaf over the mixture, and then roll it up tightly from the bottom to the top.
8.Repeat with the remaining cabbage leaves and pork mixture.
9.Arrange the stuffed cabbage rolls in a large baking dish.
10.Pour the can of tomato juice and can of sauerkraut over the stuffed cabbage rolls.
11.Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 1 1/2 to 2 hours.
12.Remove the aluminum foil and bake for another 20-30 minutes until the top is golden brown.
