2 cups fresh basil , washed and de-stemmed

8 ounces stewed tomatoes
8 ounces chicken stock
3 cups flour
6 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
2.Slice the garlic cloves and place them in a baking dish with 2 tablespoons of olive oil. Roast in the oven for 20-25 minutes until softened.
3.In a large pot, heat the remaining 4 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
4.Add the chopped onions and sauté until translucent, about 5-6 minutes.

7.Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat to low and simmer for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally.
8.Once the sauce has thickened, remove from heat and let cool for a few minutes.
9.Using an immersion blender, blend the sauce until smooth.
10.Serve hot over your favorite Italian dish.
