Ingredients

5 teaspoons anise seed , crushed
1 1/2 teaspoons fennel seeds , crushed
1 1/2 teaspoons coriander seeds , crushed
1 bottle brandy ( the cheap stuff is fine )
9 5/8 ounces simple syrup ( recipe below ) ( optional )

Instructions

2.Seal the jar and give it a shake.
3.Store the jar in a cool, dark place for 2-3 days.
4.After 2-3 days, shake the jar again and strain the liquid through a cheesecloth into a clean bottle.
5.If desired, add the simple syrup and shake until combined.
6.Serve your homemade anisette chilled or over ice.
