3 2 tablespoons heavy cream or 2 tablespoons whole milk
1 1/2 tablespoons unsalted butter ( or use Smart Balance margarine-healthier )
kosher salt
fresh ground black pepper
toasted French bread , for serving ( or brioche )

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2.Butter 2 individual gratin dishes (or a 10 to 11-inch (25 to 28-cm) oval baking dish).
3.Combine garlic, thyme, rosemary, and parsley in a small bowl.
4.Transfer 1/4 tsp. to each dish.
5.Add 1/2 tbsp. grated cheese to each dish.
6.Crack 3 eggs into each dish.
7.Drizzle 1 tbsp. heavy cream or whole milk over eggs.
8.Dot with butter.
9.Sprinkle each with salt, pepper, and remaining herbs.
10.Bake until egg whites are cooked but yolks are still runny; about 15 minutes.
11.Serve hot with toasted bread or brioche.
