Ingredients

1 3/8 liters tomato juice
1 can of herb crushed tomatoes
2 3/4 liters chicken broth ( save the tomato juice can and fill it twice with water using 2 chicken oxo or chicken broth )
1 medium onion
6 hot Italian sausages
12 -15 meatballs
2 cups small shell pasta
1 package fresh tortellini ( I prefer the cheese filled rainbow tortellini )
1 container fresh soft ricotta cheese
1 tablespoon chopped garlic
Italian spices , to taste . ( I use oregano , and basil )
salt and pepper

Instructions

1.In a large pot, brown the sausages and meatballs.

5.Bring the soup to a boil and then reduce heat and let it simmer for 30 minutes.
6.Add the pasta and tortellini and cook according to package instructions.
7.Serve hot with a spoonful of fresh ricotta cheese on top.
