Ingredients

1 cup onion , diced
1/4 cup sour cream
2 garlic cloves , minced ( or 1 tsp of pre-minced garlic from a jar )
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 lb ground beef
1 tablespoon flour
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1 can mushroom stems and pieces , undrained
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 bag whole wheat egg noodles , cooked

Instructions

1.Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
2.Add onions and garlic and cook for 2-3 minutes, until the onions are translucent.
3.Add ground beef and cook, breaking it up with a spatula, until browned.
4.Stir in flour, salt, and pepper and cook for another minute, until the flour is absorbed.
5.Add mushroom pieces and stir, then add cream of mushroom soup and mix until combined.
6.Reduce heat to low and let the stroganoff simmer for 10-15 minutes, stirring occasionally until the sauce is thickened.
7.Serve over cooked whole wheat egg noodles.
