3/4 cup rolled oats
2 1/2 pints water
18 prunes , pitted or 3/4 cup raisins
10 almonds
3 1/2 cups milk
sugar , to taste
salt , to taste

Instructions

1.Soak rolled oats in 1 pint of water for at least 30 minutes.
2.In a large pot, bring the remaining water to a boil and add soaked oats, prunes or raisins, and almonds. Cook on a medium flame until oats are tender for around 30 minutes. Stir occasionally.
3.Add sugar and salt to taste, and pour in milk. Cook for an additional 5-6 minutes.
4.Once the soup has thickened, remove from heat, and let it cool. Serve hot or chilled as per your preference.
