Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
2.Grease and flour a 9-inch cake pan.
3.In a small bowl mix nuts, 1/2 cup brown sugar and cinnamon. Set aside.
4.In a large bowl, cream margarine and 1 cup brown sugar until light.
5.Add vanilla and eggs, one at a time, and beat well.
6.Combine flour with baking powder and salt. Add alternately to the creamed mixture with milk, beating well.
7.Pour half the batter into prepared pan, sprinkle with half the nut mixture.
8.Cover with remaining batter and sprinkle with the remaining nut mixture.
9.Bake for 45 to 50 minutes, or until cake tests done.
10.Let cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan.
