Ingredients

2 teaspoons pickled ginger ( beni shoga ) , or to taste ( optional )
1 sheet dried seaweed , cut into strips , or to taste ( optional )

Instructions

1.Slice the onion thinly and set aside
2.In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium heat and sauté the onions until soft, about 5 minutes

4.Add the beef slices to the skillet, cover and simmer for about 3 minutes
5.Uncover and simmer until the beef is cooked and most of the liquid has evaporated, about another 2-3 minutes
6.Serve the beef and onions over a bowl of steamed rice, and sprinkle with sesame seeds, green onions, pickled ginger, and dried seaweed if desired
