1 cup basmati rice ( washed and soaked for half hour . )
300 g gur ( Jaggery )
4 green cardamom pods ( Choti Ilaichi , powdered )
3 cloves ( Loung )
1/4 cup cooking oil
4 cups water

Instructions

1.In a pot, heat cooking oil over medium heat.

5.Reduce heat and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes or until rice is cooked.

7.Cook over low heat until gur is melted and becomes a syrup-like consistency.
8.Pour this gur syrup on the cooked rice and mix well.
9.Cover the pot and let it simmer for 5-7 minutes on low heat.
10.Serve the Gur Walay Chawal hot.
