Ingredients

1/2 cup cabbage kimchi , finely chopped ( King 's is a good brand )
1/2 lb ground beef
1/2 lb ground pork
1/2 cup firm tofu , mashed
1/2 ounce garlic , minced
1 tablespoon green onion , finely chopped
1 teaspoon soy sauce
30 -36 square wonton wrappers
1/3 cup soy sauce
2 tablespoons vinegar ( rice vineger preferably )
1 teaspoon toasted sesame seeds
2 teaspoons gingerroot , grated ( optional )
1 teaspoon red pepper flakes ( optional )
Gunmandu, also known as Korean style fried dumplings, is a popular snack or appetizer in Korean cuisine. These dumplings are made with a savory filling of ground beef and pork, cabbage kimchi, and firm tofu, which is sealed inside a square wonton wrapper and fried until crispy and golden. Instructions

1.In a large mixing bowl, combine the finely chopped cabbage kimchi, ground beef, ground pork, mashed firm tofu, minced garlic, finely chopped green onion, and soy sauce. Mix well to combine.
2.Lay the square wonton wrappers out on a clean surface, and place a small spoonful of the filling in the center of each wrapper. Fold the wrapper in half to create a triangle and press the edges to seal.
3.Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat and add enough oil to cover the bottom. Once hot, add the dumplings to the skillet, making sure they are not touching each other. Cook the dumplings until they are golden brown on the bottom, then flip them over and cook until golden brown on the other side.
4.In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, vinegar, toasted sesame seeds, grated gingerroot, and red pepper flakes to make a dipping sauce.
5.Serve the fried dumplings hot with the dipping sauce on the side.
