1 -2 garlic clove

1 teaspoon salt ( to taste )

Instructions

1.Rinse black beans in water and leave to soak in enough water overnight.
2.Drain the beans and wash thoroughly in cold water.
3.In a large pot, add the black beans and enough water to ensure it covers the beans completely.
4.Add garlic cloves, chopped onions, and a teaspoon of salt, stir well to combine.
5.Bring the pot to a boil over high heat and then reduce heat to medium-low. Let the pot simmer for 1-2 hours or until the beans are tender.
6.Serve with white rice as a side dish.
