1 onion , in medium dice
1 tablespoon olive oil
1 lb lean ground beef
1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

5 eggs
3 tablespoons milk
3 tablespoons chopped parsley

8 sheets phyllo dough

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 375°F (191°C).

4.Add the cayenne pepper, cinnamon, salt, black pepper, and lemon juice to the skillet; stir until well combined.
5.In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, and chopped parsley until well combined.
6.Brush a 9-inch pie dish with olive oil. Arrange 4 sheets of phyllo dough on the bottom and up the sides of the dish, brushing each sheet with olive oil.
7.Pour the beef mixture into the phyllo-lined dish, and make sure it is evenly distributed.
8.Pour the egg mixture over the beef mixture, and make sure it is evenly distributed.
9.Sprinkle the sliced almonds over the top of the pie.
10.Layer the remaining 4 sheets of phyllo dough over the top of the pie, brushing each sheet with olive oil.
11.Tuck the edges of the phyllo dough down into the sides of the pie dish, creating a nice seal.
12.Brush the top of the pie generously with olive oil.
13.Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top of the pie is golden brown.
14.Let the pie rest for at least 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
