Ingredients

1 lb ground beef
1 onion , chopped
2 tablespoons minced fresh garlic ( or to taste )
1 green bell pepper , seeded and chopped
1 -2 jalapeno pepper , seeded and finely chopped ( optional )
1 package taco seasoning mix ( or use Kittencal 's Taco Seasoning Mix )
1 can green chilies ( drained or undrained , or to taste )
1 can pinto beans , undrained ( or use black beans )
water ( only if needed )
salt and black pepper ( to taste )
1 package refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
2 cups crushed tortilla chips , divided ( can use a little more )
1 cup sour cream
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar cheese
Ground Beef Crescent Taco Pie is a delicious and easy-to-make Mexican-inspired dish that is perfect for parties or a quick family dinner. This savory pie is made with a crescent roll crust, seasoned ground beef, beans, crushed tortilla chips, and a sour cream and cheese topping. Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2.In a skillet, cook ground beef, onion, garlic, green and jalapeno peppers until meat is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain any excess fat.
3.Add taco seasoning, green chilies, pinto beans and water (if needed). Simmer for 15-20 minutes or until liquid has reduced.
4.In a greased 9-inch pie pan, press crescent rolls into the bottom and up the sides.
5.Sprinkle half of the crushed tortilla chips over the crust.
6.Spread the meat mixture on top of the crust and sprinkle the remaining tortilla chips over the meat.
7.In a bowl, mix sour cream and cheddar cheese. Spread over the top of the tortilla chips.
8.Bake for 20-25 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
