1/4 cup butter , melted
2 tablespoons liquid honey
2 teaspoons lemon juice or 2 teaspoons lime juice
4 large firm ripe bananas
8 tablespoons liqueur , of your choice ( Kahlua , Frangelico , etc . ) ( optional )

Instructions

1.Preheat grill to high.

3.Cut each banana lengthwise, leaving the skin on.
4.Brush the cut side of each banana with the butter mixture.
5.Place the bananas, cut side down, on the grill.
6.Cook for 2-3 minutes, until grill marks appear.
7.Using tongs, flip the bananas over.
8.Brush the butter mixture onto the skin side of each banana.
9.If desired, pour 2 tablespoons of liqueur over each banana.
10.Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes, until the bananas have softened and caramelized.
