Ingredients

600 g minced lamb
1 onion , chopped
2 carrots , chopped
2 stalks celery , chopped
1 clove garlic , crushed
1 can tomatoes , undrained , chopped
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1/2 cup water
1 chicken stock cube
dried herbs
1 1/2 cups macaroni
1 dash olive oil
1 1/2 cups grated tasty cheese ( approximately )
1 tablespoon margarine
1 tablespoon plain flour
1 cup milk
1/2 - 1 cup grated tasty cheese
This Greek Style Lamb and Macaroni Casserole is a delicious and hearty dish that is perfect for a cold evening or a winter feast. Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 180°C.
2.Fry the minced lamb and onion together in a large frying pan until browned.
3.Add the chopped carrots, celery, and garlic. Fry for another 5 minutes.
4.Add the chopped tomatoes, tomato sauce, water, chicken stock cube, and dried herbs. Cook for another 5 minutes.
5.Add in the macaroni and mix well.
6.Spread the mixture in a large casserole dish.
7.Drizzle with olive oil.
8.Mix margarine and plain flour in a saucepan over medium heat until the mixture bubbles.
9.Remove from heat and gradually add milk, stirring continuously.
10.Return to heat and stir constantly until the sauce boils and thickens.
11.Pour the sauce over the meat mixture, spreading it evenly.
12.Sprinkle the grated cheese over the top.
13.Bake in the oven for approximately 30 minutes or until heated through and golden brown on top.
