2 tablespoons brandy or 2 tablespoons whiskey
4 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
2.In a large bowl combine butter and sugar and cream together until fluffy and light.
3.Add vanilla and brandy/whiskey extract and mix well.
4.Gradually add the flour mixing well at each addition.
5.Add finely chopped almonds if using.
6.Roll mixture into small-medium sized balls and place onto ungreased baking sheet.
7.Bake for approximately 15-20 minutes or until slightly golden in color.
8.Once cookies are cool, dust with confectioners' sugar and serve!
