Ingredients

2 cups sliced almonds or 2 cups blanched slivered almonds ( 8 ounces )
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 egg whites , beaten until bubbly but not frothy
1 teaspoon almond extract
36 blanched sliced almonds , for garnish
2 ounces semisweet chocolate , broken up
1 1 tablespoon other liqueur or 1 tablespoon water

Instructions

10.Allow the chocolate to set before serving.
