Ingredients

2 lbs pork shank
2 lbs pork roast
1 lb kielbasa ( hot or mild )
sauerkraut
1/2 head cabbage , grated
1 lb fresh mushrooms , quartered
2 onions , chopped
1 fresh garlic clove , crushed
1/2 cup pearl barley
2 chicken bouillon cubes
salt & pepper

Instructions

1.Cut the pork shank and roast into bite-sized pieces and the kielbasa into rounds.
2.In a large pot, add the pork shank, roast, kielbasa, sauerkraut, grated cabbage, mushrooms, onions, garlic, barley, and chicken bouillon cubes.
3.Season with salt and pepper to taste.
4.Add enough water to cover the ingredients and bring to a boil.
5.Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 2-3 hours, or until the meat is tender and the vegetables are cooked through.
