Ingredients

1 large head of cabbage
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1/2 cup white rice , cooked . i use converted ( measured prior to cooking )
1 egg
1/3 cup finely minced onion
salt and pepper
2 cans tomato soup
Grandma's German Cabbage Rolls are a classic dish that has been passed down for generations in many families. Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2.Bring a large pot of water to a boil. While waiting for the water to boil, core the cabbage and carefully remove the leaves. Blanch the cabbage leaves in the boiling water for about 3 minutes until tender, then rinse with cold water and pat dry.
3.In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, cooked rice, egg, onion, salt and pepper. Mix well.
4.Place 1/4 to 1/3 cup of beef mixture in the center of each cabbage leaf, roll up and place seam side down in a large baking dish.
5.In a separate mixing bowl, whisk together the tomato soup and 1 can of water. Pour the tomato soup mixture over the cabbage rolls.
6.Cover the baking dish with foil and bake for 1 hour 15 minutes.
