6 cups water , or more as needed
1 cup millet flour

Instructions

5.Add the andouille sausage, celery, and green onion to the pot and continue cooking for another 10 minutes.
6.Pour the chicken broth from the first pot into the pot with vegetables and sausage. Add bay leaves, salt, dried thyme, and cayenne pepper. Bring to a boil and then reduce heat to low and simmer for an hour or more, until the gumbo has thickened and the flavors have melded together.
7.Mix in the shredded chicken and file powder, and allow to simmer again for another 10-15 minutes before serving over rice.
