1 butt end half smoked ham , fully cooked
1 cup brown sugar

1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
1/2 cup fine breadcrumbs
1/2 cup apple juice or 1/2 cup water
whole cloves , to decorate

Instructions

1.Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
2.Remove the ham from the packaging and rinse it with cold water. Pat it dry with paper towels.
3.Place the ham, cut side down, in a shallow roasting pan.
4.Using a sharp knife, score the surface of the ham in a diamond pattern, making cuts about 1/4 inch deep.
5.Combine the brown sugar, molasses, Dijon mustard, allspice, cinnamon, and cider vinegar in a small bowl. Mix well.
6.Spoon the mixture over the ham, using a pastry brush to spread it evenly over the surface.
7.Sprinkle the breadcrumbs over the glaze, pressing them lightly into the ham.
8.Pour the apple juice (or water) into the bottom of the roasting pan.
9.Place the roasting pan in the preheated oven and bake for approximately 1 hour.
10.Remove the ham from the oven and decorate it with whole cloves.
11.Return the ham to the oven and bake for another 30 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 140 degrees F (60 degrees C).
12.Remove the ham from the oven and let it rest for at least 10 minutes before carving and serving.
