Ingredients

6 pounds onions , sliced
4 slices bacon
1 container sour cream
4 egg
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon caraway seed
2 recipes pastry for a 9 inch single crust pie

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.
2.In a skillet, cook bacon until crispy and set it aside once cooked.
3.In the same skillet, cook onions until caramelized. Add salt and caraway seeds. Set aside and let cool.
4.In a separate bowl, mix eggs and sour cream.
5.Add all-purpose flour and mix it until smooth.
6.Roll out one pastry recipe and place it in a 9 inch pie dish.
7.Place the bacon on the crust and spread out caramelized onions on top.
8.Add egg and sour cream mixture on top of the onion layer and smooth out the filling.
9.Roll out the other pastry recipe and place it on top of the filling. Press the edges and make slits on the top crust.
10.Bake for 25-40 minutes or until the crust is golden brown. Cut and serve.
