Ingredients

8 -9 cups all-purpose flour
2 packages active dry yeast or ( 3/4 ounce ) fresh yeast cakes
3 cups tepid milk
1/2 cup sugar
3 egg yolks
8 tablespoons butter , melted and cooled

Instructions

1.In a mixing bowl, whisk together 4 cups of flour and 2 packages of active dry yeast.

4.Gradually add the remaining 4-5 cups of flour until the mixture forms a soft and sticky dough.
5.Knead the dough on a floured surface until it becomes smooth and elastic.
6.Grease a baking sheet and shape the dough into small balls.
7.Place the balls on the baking sheet, leaving some space between them.
8.Cover with a cloth and allow the dough to rise for about 30 minutes.
9.Preheat the oven at 190°C and bake the dough balls for 20-25 minutes or until they turn golden brown.
10.Remove the baking sheet from the oven and allow the rusks to cool.
