1 cup confectioners ' sugar ( sometimes called icing or powdered )
4 large eggs , at room temperature
1 grated lemon , zest of
2 cups cake flour
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 pinch salt
3/4 cup poppy seed , ground
1/2 cup milk
2 tablespoons golden rum
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease a 10-cup Gugelhupf pan and dust with flour.

8.Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cool in the pan for 10 minutes before removing to a wire rack to cool completely.
9.Dust with confectioners’ sugar before serving.
