6 ounces anchovy fillets , chopped
1 cup water
1/4 cup chopped green onions
1/2 cup diced tomatoes
2 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon extra-virgin olive oil
1 package linguine pasta
1 1/2 tablespoons crushed red pepper flakes
1 pinch black pepper ( optional )

Instructions

1.Begin by boiling a large pot of water for the linguine, adding salt once boiling.

3.Add the broccoli and mushrooms to the pan, continuing to cook until the broccoli softens.
4.Add in the anchovy fillets, stirring until they are broken down and the mixture is homogenous.
5.Add in a cup of water to the mixture, allowing to simmer for ten minutes before adding in the green onions, diced tomatoes, and parsley.
6.Cook the linguine pasta in the pot of boiling water until it reaches al dente, approximately 8 minutes.
7.Drain the linguine pasta, reserving a cup of the water before adding it to the pan with the sauce and mix together.
8.Serve hot and sprinkle with crushed red pepper flakes and black pepper if desired.
