Ingredients

700 g potatoes
75 ml milk
1 tablespoon mustard
1 cabbage
1/2 bunch spring onion
125 g cheddar cheese
4 gammon steaks
2 tomatoes

Instructions

1.Peel and chop the potatoes into small chunks.
2.Place them in a pan of cold salted water and bring to a boil, simmer for 20 minutes or until cooked.
3.Drain the water and mash the potatoes, add milk and mustard. Mix well.
4.Shred the cabbage and finely chop the spring onion.
5.Grate the cheddar cheese and mix it with the cabbage and onion. Set aside.

7.Cut tomatoes into quarters, place them on the plate.
8.Serve the gammon steak on top of the tomatoes and with the Irish-style mash on the side, Add butter and herb as needed.
