Ingredients

4 chicken thighs
4 chicken drumsticks
salt and pepper
1 cup all-purpose flour , spread in a plate
2 -3 tablespoons cooking oil
2 cups sliced onions
2 cups red wine ( Chianti or Zinfandel type )
1 cup beef stock or 1 cup beef bouillon
3 tablespoons tomato paste
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1 bay leaf
2 cloves garlic , tied together with
2 -3 sprigs parsley

Instructions

9.Cover the Dutch oven and transfer it to the oven, and bake for 2 1/2 to 3 hours or until the chicken is cooked through and tender.
10.Serve the coq au vin hot with crusty bread or mashed potatoes.
