Ingredients

200 g yellow split peas
1 1/2 pints water
2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
2 teaspoons ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
3 fresh green chilies , chopped
1 dried red chili , chopped and seeded
1 medium onion , finely diced
3 garlic cloves , chopped

Instructions

6.Add fresh green chilies, chopped and seeded dried red chili, and fry for an additional 1-2 minutes.
7.Add the peas and mix well.
8.Let the mixture cool and shape them into small balls.
9.In a deep pot, heat oil over medium heat, and fry the balls until they are golden brown and crispy.
