Ingredients

5 eggs
1 1/2 cups 18 % table cream
1 medium pastry dough
5 1/2 cups gruyere cheese
3 double sided smoked bacon
1 small butter
1 medium pepper
1 medium nutmeg

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C)
2.Blind-bake the pie crust for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes remove from oven and let it cool.
3.Cut up the bacon, fry it, and let it cool.
4.Grate the Gruyere cheese.
5.In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs and cream. Then mix the bacon and cheese.
6.Season with pepper and nutmeg.
7.Pour the egg mixture into the cooled pie crust.
8.Bake for 40-45 minutes, until the filling is set and the top is golden brown.
9.Remove from the oven and let it cool before serving.
