Ingredients

1 campbells beef consomme
1 cup water
2 garlic cloves ( peeled and smashed )
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes ( or to taste )
1 lb rare roast beef , thinly sliced from the deli ( cooked )
8 slices provolone cheese
4 hoagie rolls
2 tablespoons horseradish , sandwich sauce or 2 tablespoons sweet-hot mustard
8 ounces white mushrooms , sliced

Instructions

1.In a medium saucepan, combine the beef consomme, water, garlic, and red pepper flakes. Bring to a boil and reduce the heat to low.
2.Add the sliced roast beef to the saucepan and heat through.
3.Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F and split the hoagie rolls open.
4.Spread the horseradish, sandwich sauce, or sweet-hot mustard on the inside of the rolls.
5.Add a slice of provolone cheese to each side of the rolls and place them on a baking sheet lined with foil.
6.Bake for 5 minutes or until the cheese is melted.
7.Remove the rolls from the oven and spoon the beef and mushroom mixture onto the rolls.
