Instructions

1.In a small bowl, dissolve 2 tablespoons cornstarch into 2 tablespoons of milk and set aside.
2.In a medium-sized saucepan, combine 1/2 cup white sugar, 1/2 cup milk, 1/2 cup heavy cream, and 1/4 cup butter and cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture is boiling.
3.Slowly add the cornstarch mixture, stirring constantly, and bring the mixture back to a boil.

10.Bake the pie for 45 to 55 minutes or until the crust is golden brown.
11.In a small bowl, whisk together 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar, 1 tablespoon milk, 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract, and 1 tablespoon softened butter until smooth.
12.Drizzle the glaze over the top of the warm pie while it's still in the tin.
