16 ounces frozen pound cake , thawed
2 cups milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 packages vanilla pudding mix
3/4 cup sugar
3/4 lb sweet butter
3/4 cup slivered almonds

Instructions

1.Cut the frozen pound cake into 1/2-in. cubes.
2.Take a saucepan, add milk and bring it to a boil. Turn off the heat and stir in salt and pudding mix. Keep stirring until pudding is thickened.
3.Fold in cake cubes into pudding.
4.Let it cool and meanwhile, we can prepare the topping.
5.Melt 1/4 cup butter in a skillet, add almonds and sugar. Cook and stir until caramelized.
6.Remove the saucepan from heat and let it sit for few minutes.
7.Drop spoonfuls of topping over the pudding mixture. Serve warm or chilled.
