Ingredients

1 kg chicken thigh
200 g natural yoghurt
1 tablespoon fresh ginger , grated finely
1 tablespoon garlic , grated finely
1 tablespoon tandoori paste
1/2 teaspoon tandoori color powder ( food colouring , if available )
2 teaspoons cumin seeds , ground
2 teaspoons ground coriander
1 teaspoon garam masala
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder

Instructions

1.In a large mixing bowl, combine natural yoghurt, tandoori paste, grated ginger, grated garlic, cumin seeds, coriander, garam masala, salt, chili powder, and turmeric powder.
2.Add chicken thigh pieces into the mixing bowl and coat them well with the marinade.
3.Cover the bowl with cling wrap and marinate the chicken in the fridge for at least 2 hours. The longer you marinate, the better the flavor is.
4.Remove the chicken from the fridge 30 minutes prior to baking.
5.Preheat the oven to 200°C. Take the chicken out of the marinade and place them on a wire rack set over a baking tray.
6.Bake the chicken in the oven for 25-30 minutes until they are cooked through. Turn them half-way through cooking.
7.Once the chicken is cooked, remove from the oven and let it rest for 5 minutes. Serve with your favorite side dish.
