3/4 cup oatmeal

2 cups white flour , saving 1/2 cup
2 1/2 teaspoons yeast
3 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon sugar
1 1/2 cups boiling water or 1 1/2 cups apple juice

Instructions

1.In a food processor, pulse the oatmeal until finely ground.
2.Add molasses, vegetable oil and salt and pulse until combined.
3.Add whole wheat flour, 1 1/2 cup white flour, and yeast, then pulse until blended.
4.In a small bowl, mix together remaining 1/2 cup white flour, sugar, and water, then add to the food processor. Pulse to combine.
5.With the food processor running, gradually add boiling water or apple juice, just until the dough forms a ball.
6.Turn out the dough onto a floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic, 5 - 10 minutes.
7.Place dough into a greased loaf pan, cover with a cloth and set aside for 30 minutes. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit.
8.Bake for 45 minutes or until bread sounds hollow when tapped.
