PROS

This pie is a Canadian classic, loved by many for its creamy, vanilla custard filling and sweet, fluffy meringue topping.

It is also relatively easy to make, requiring only a few simple ingredients.

CONS

The graham cracker crust is quite sweet, which may not be to everyone’s liking.

The meringue can also be prone to weeping or shrinking if not properly prepared or baked.

HEALTH & BENEFITS

While this pie is not the healthiest dessert option, it does contain some nutritional benefits.
Egg yolks are high in protein and healthy fats, while egg whites are virtually fat-free and also contain protein.
However, the high sugar content and use of margarine in the crust may make it a less healthy option for those with dietary restrictions or concerns.
