300 g cod , cut in to large chunks
1/2 teaspoon Chinese five spice powder
2 tablespoons cornflour
200 g mange-touts peas
3 garlic cloves , minced
1 teaspoon rice wine vinegar
6 tablespoons soy sauce
1 spring onion
1 green chili ( add more or less depending on preference )
himalayan salt and pepper , to season
2 teaspoons coconut oil , to cook with
This Five Spice Cod With Chilli Soy Dressing is a flavourful dish that is perfect for a quick weeknight dinner. The cod is coated in a Chinese five spice powder and cornflour mix, which packs a punch of flavour. Paired with stir-fried garlic, chilli and mange-touts peas, this dish is served with a soy sauce dressing that pulls it all together.

Instructions

1.In a small bowl, mix together Chinese five spice powder and cornflour.
2.Season the cod pieces with salt and pepper, then dust them with the spice mixture.
3.In a large pan, heat the coconut oil over medium-high heat. Add the cod pieces and cook for 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
4.In the same pan, add the minced garlic, chilli and mange-touts peas. Cook for a further 2-3 minutes, until the peas are cooked, but still have a bit of a crunch.
5.In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce and rice wine vinegar together. Drizzle this over the fish and vegetables.
6.Garnish with sliced spring onion and serve immediately.
