Ingredients

1 flank steak

6 cups torn romaine lettuce
1 3/4 cups quartered cherry tomatoes
1 cup thinly sliced red onion , separated into rings
1/4 cup coarsely chopped of fresh mint
2 tablespoons sliced peeled fresh lemongrass

Instructions

1.Preheat the broiler.
2.Combine the lime juice, cilantro, brown sugar, water, fish sauce, 3 minced garlic cloves, and 1 minced serrano chile in a small bowl; stir well with a whisk.
3.Sprinkle both sides of the steak with salt and black pepper. Place the steak on a broiler pan coated with cooking spray.
4.Broil the steak on high heat for 6 minutes on each side or until desired degree of doneness. Let steak rest for a few minutes.
5.Heat a small nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Coat the pan with cooking spray. Add 2 minced garlic cloves and 1 minced serrano chile; sauté for 2 minutes or until fragrant, stirring frequently.
6.Thinly slice the steak across the grain. Combine the steak, garlic mixture, lettuce, cherry tomatoes, onion, mint, and lemongrass in a large bowl. Drizzle the lime juice mixture over the salad and toss gently to combine.
