Ingredients

3/4 cup extra virgin olive oil
1 -2 garlic clove
1 tablespoon pine nuts ( or walnut pieces )
1/4 teaspoon sea salt
1/3 cup parmesan cheese , grated ( about 1 oz . )
1 bunch fresh basil ( about 4 cups )

Instructions

1.Toast pine nuts in a skillet over low-medium heat for 5 minutes or until golden brown.
2.In a food processor, pulse garlic until finely chopped.
3.Add pine nuts and pulse until they are finely chopped.
4.Add salt, parmesan cheese, and basil leaves. Pulse for 7-10 seconds.
5.While the processor is running, slowly pour in olive oil to form a smooth mixture.
6.Taste and add more salt if required.
