Instructions

1.In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour and salt.
2.In a separate small mixing bowl, mix the dry yeast, olive oil, and warm water.
3.Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix well until the dough comes together.
4.Turn the dough out onto a lightly floured surface and knead for 5-10 minutes until smooth and elastic.
5.Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for about an hour or until doubled in size.
6.Preheat the oven to 200°C/ 180° Fan/ Gas 6. Gently punch down the dough, turn it out onto a floured surface, and shape it into a round or oblong loaf.
7.Place the dough on a baking tray or in a loaf tin, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for another 30 minutes.
8.Bake in the preheated oven for 30-40 minutes until golden brown in color.
9.Remove from the oven and leave to cool for a few minutes before serving.
