Ingredients

400 g lamb , pieces ( boned or boneless )
1 onion
cooking oil
1 teaspoon baharat or 1 teaspoon curry powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup white beans ( there are three types of white beans . large white beans , small white beans and black-eyed beans � al )
7 medium tomatoes
tomato paste ( about 2 � 3 teaspoons )
1/2 clove garlic
fresh parsley or coriander ( to garnish )

Fassuliyyeh Baidah is a traditional Middle Eastern soup made with white beans and lamb. The hearty and filling soup is perfect for a cold winter day, providing both warmth and sustenance. The addition of tomatoes and baharat or curry powder give the soup a rich and flavorful taste. Instructions

1.Rinse the white beans and soak them in water overnight or for at least 2 hours.
2.Heat some cooking oil in a large pot and sauté the onion until translucent.
3.Add the lamb pieces and cook until browned on all sides.
4.Stir in the baharat or curry powder, salt, and tomato paste, and cook for a few more minutes.
5.Add the tomatoes and garlic and stir well.
6.Drain the beans and add them to the pot, then pour in enough water to cover the ingredients.
7.Cover the pot and bring the soup to a boil, then lower the heat and let it simmer for about an hour or until the beans are tender.
8.Season with salt to taste and garnish with fresh parsley or coriander before serving.
