1 cup brown sugar , firmly packed and divided
1/2 cup butter , softened

Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 180°C and grease a 9-inch baking dish.
2.In a large bowl, cream together 1/2 cup of the brown sugar and butter until smooth.
3.In another bowl, mix together the flour and salt. Gradually add this to the butter mixture until well combined.
4.Press the mixture into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
5.In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs, remaining 1/2 cup of brown sugar, sugar, vanilla, and 1/4 teaspoon of salt.
6.Stir in the coconut and pecans and pour the mixture over the crust.
7.Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the top is lightly browned and the filling is set.
