4 dates
2 tablespoons raisins
8 -10 lotus seeds ( optional )
4 red cherries
4 green cherries
2/3 cup red bean paste
1 cup water
1/4 cup sugar
cornstarch , solution
1 3/4 teaspoons cornstarch , mixed with
2 -3 teaspoons cold water

Instructions

1.Rinse the glutinous rice and soak it in water for at least 30 minutes.
2.Combine the 1 cup of water, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and 4 teaspoons of oil in a pot. Bring to a boil and remove from heat.
3.Drain the rice and add it to the pot. Mix well and put the lid on. Cook over low heat for 10-12 minutes, or until the rice is fully cooked.
4.Add the dates, raisins, lotus seeds, and cherries to the pot. Mix until well combined.
5.Heat up the red bean paste, 1 cup of water, and 1/4 cup of sugar in a separate pot. Stir occasionally until the mixture thickens.
6.Mix the cornstarch solution and add to the red bean paste mixture. Stir and remove from heat.
7.Spread half of the rice mixture in a plate. Add the red bean paste over the rice.
8.Cover the red bean paste completely with the remaining rice mixture.
9.Steam the plate for 15-20 minutes until fully cooked.
10.Sprinkle some sesame seeds on top before serving.
