1/4 cup dried small red beans ( adzuki beans )
water to cover
1/4 cup barley
1/2 cup glutinous sweet rice
1/4 cup dried mung bean
1/4 cup oats
1/4 cup millet
1/4 cup dried small pearl tapioca
1/2 cup brown sugar , or more to taste
1/4 cup raisins
Eight Treasure Porridge Dessert, also known as Babao Porridge, is a traditional Chinese dessert. Instructions

1.Rinse the red beans and soak in water overnight.
2.Rinse the barley, sweet rice, mung bean, oats, millet, and tapioca together.
3.In a stockpot, add 6 cups of water and all the ingredients except for the brown sugar and raisins.
4.Bring to a boil then simmer on low heat for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
5.Add brown sugar and raisins to the pot, mix well and cook for another 30 minutes.
6.Serve the warm porridge in bowls and garnish with raisins.
