Ingredients

1 can fava beans ( you can find at any middle eastern store , maybe even like a trader joe 's or organic store )
1 small lemon , juice of , only
3 tablespoons canola oil ( or any oil you prefer )
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 onion ( Small size and chopped- optional , if you do n't want to use just skip step number 1 )

Egyptian Fool is a traditional breakfast food that has graced many a Middle Eastern kitchen table. Instructions

1.Rinse the fava beans well and drain them.
2.In a medium saucepan, heat the oil over medium heat.
3.Add onions (if using) and fry for 4-5 minutes, or until they are soft and lightly browned.
4.Add the beans to the pan with the onions and the spices. Mix together well and cook for another 5 minutes.
5.Add the lemon juice and let the beans simmer for another few minutes, making sure not to overcook them.
