Ingredients

5 potatoes , peeled and quartered
1 lb lean ground beef
1 can sliced mushrooms , drained
1 can mixed vegetables , drained ( Veg-All works well )
1 can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1 can condensed cream of celery soup
salt and pepper
3 tablespoons butter
Shepherd's pie is a classic British comfort food that is popular around the world. It consists of a meat and vegetable filling topped with a layer of mashed potatoes. Instructions

1.Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
2.Fill a large pot with water, and bring to a boil. Once boiling, add the peeled and quartered potatoes. Boil for 20 minutes or until they are tender.
3.While the potatoes are cooking, in a separate skillet, cook the ground beef until it is no longer pink. Drain off any excess fat.
4.Add the sliced mushrooms and mixed vegetables to the ground beef and cook until the vegetables are soft.
5.Stir in the condensed cream of mushroom soup and condensed cream of celery soup, and season with salt and pepper.
6.Once the potatoes are tender, drain them well, and mash them with the butter until they are smooth and creamy.
7.In a large casserole dish, spread the beef and vegetable mixture on the bottom. Then, spread the mashed potatoes evenly on top of the vegetables.
8.Bake the shepherd's pie in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until the mashed potato topping is golden brown.
