Ingredients

1/3 lb bacon , cut in 1-inch pieces
1 tablespoon oil
1 large onion , cut into 3/8-inch rings
2 tablespoons water
1 container cheese spread , Swiss and Almond flavor , Merkt 's preferred
1 cup milk
1/2 lb mozzarella cheese , finely shredded
1 lb wide egg noodles

Instructions

1.In a large pot, cook the wide egg noodles according to the package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
2.In a large skillet, cook the bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove and set aside on a paper towel.
3.In the same skillet, add the oil and onion rings. Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally, until caramelized, about 20 minutes.

6.Add the mozzarella cheese to the skillet, and stir until melted and combined.
7.Add the cooked egg noodles to the skillet, and toss until the noodles are coated in the cheese sauce.
8.Serve the mac n' cheese hot, garnished with the crispy bacon.
