Ingredients

1/4 cup margarine or 1/4 cup butter , softened
2 tablespoons sugar
2 cups Bisquick baking mix
2/3 cup milk
1/4 cup any flavor preserves ( I like raspberry )
2/3 cup powdered sugar
1 tablespoon warm water
1/4 teaspoon vanilla
These easy drop Danish using Bisquick are a delicious treat that can be whipped up in no time. Perfect for breakfast or snack time, these pastries are warm, buttery, and bursting with sweet fruit preserves. Although they contain a small amount of unsaturated fat, they should be consumed in moderation due to their sugar content. Plus, they're a great way to use up any leftover Bisquick baking mix you may have sitting in your pantry.

Instructions

1.Preheat oven to 425°F.
2.In a medium bowl, beat margarine/butter and sugar until fluffy.
3.Stir in Bisquick and milk until dough forms.
4.Drop dough by spoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheet.
5.Make an indentation in center of dough with thumb.
6.Fill each indentation with 1 teaspoon preserves.
7.Bake 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
8.In a small bowl, mix powdered sugar, warm water, and vanilla until smooth.
9.Drizzle glaze over warm pastries and serve.
